May 31, 2009 - I always loved the shows with Rosie as the host. Every one of them was awesome, this is no exception. She was just full of energy (except for those horrid space puns from the 2001 show.) I loved the 2002 show though, thanks to the random slime alerts they had. (The stage was supposed to be a huge lab, if I'm not mistaken)

Sep 17, 2009 - yes i agree with you, but at the same time, i felt in the late 90's and the early 00's (up to late 2004) i was excited to turn on my tv to watch this, i was excited to see something on MTV, etc overall, the entertainment business was at the top around early 00's, it was definitly the peak of pop culture and entertainment.by 2004, i noticed a huge changewas it the downfall of britney?was it usher who was chart-topping in 2004? and when he stopped, people said who will top the charts?

Maybe Britney was the last person universally popular enough to fulfill that archetypal role that appeals to everyone, and after her, people became confused as to what they wanted, so they just listened to whatever they were told was good by the studios and media. That's why artists today are so much more disparate and numerous, but still don't meet the standard of the 90's-early 00's.
