Jul 16, 2010 - I really love her voice and I think she's a great Ariel. My only complaint at all would be I think that she's a bit of an over dramatic actress, especially at 2:38. I'm not saying that I could necesarily top her performace; I don't think THAT highly of myself, but I thhing she has the potential to do better. But overall, amazing performance. Quite a pair of lungs, if I may add! :-)2:38

Jul 16, 2010 - @FabF33b That's her birth accent. She's from Colorado therefore will have that accent naturally. What do you want her to do? Create a fake English accent just to fit your liking? She doesn't have a choice in that just like you don't. Besides the character of Ariel was played by an American in the film. So it makes sense they would choose another for Broadway.

Jul 21, 2010 - They should have made the legs blend in with the background or something. Perhaps making them black so that you only pay attention to the tail sticking out of the back.. now she looks like a weird half sea monster dinosaur or something.

Jul 22, 2010 - what the heck is up with that costume?!? i mean they could have put her on strings and had a fin cover her feet and then she would jsut be like swimming! but really that just sucks!

Silver54ful mowi:

Jul 22, 2010 - @The123wicked Now to me that sounds far more ridiculous. Having them on wires and swaying about would just look corney. I'm so glad they went with the route of Heely's where they can glide and dance. I personally also love the costume. It creates the illusion of being underwater and the nature of swimming. In fact I love how the creative team took a more unconventional approach to this production. It has the Disney/fantasy appeal in it's visuals. The other route is too common & cheap.

Jul 23, 2010 - @Silver54ful um ok it was just an idea

Jul 25, 2010 - this mermaid is not really pretty, she is very old and is a bit overweight.

metrostationjunkie mowi:

Jul 25, 2010 - @itaminasor She's got an amazing voice. I don't go to Broadway to judge these musicians on their looks.

gr3yzalazar mowi:

Jul 25, 2010 - amazing voice! what's her name...

meusemagician mowi:

Jul 26, 2010 - @gr3yzalazar sierra boggess, she originated the role of ariel on broadway, and in my opinion, by far, the best

le0mtedem0ntecrist0 mowi:

Jul 26, 2010 - @itaminasor I am afraid I do not not understand your definition of the term "overweight", at least not in the context of the actress as she is portrayed in this video....

juliasinging3 mowi:

Jul 29, 2010 - whats with the random tail...? haha her costume woul be so much better without that random tail! but she is an amazing singer! shes got talent!

jcf2007 mowi:

Jul 30, 2010 - @juliasinging3 it was part of the creative design of the costume - they wore helly's, and the concept was that if the audience kept their eye on the actors' heads, it would give the illusion of actually swimming.
